We are excited to be planning a fall litter between our brown girl Haiku and Trigger, a blue-and-white parti owned by Crystal Creek Standard Poodles.
If everything proceeds as anticipated, puppies should arrive around October 7, 2026, with puppies beginning to go home around December 2, 2026. These dates are approximate and may change depending on the timing of breeding and delivery.
We anticipate black and cream/apricot puppies, including both solid and parti puppies.
Haiku is quiet, easygoing, highly intelligent, and excellent with children. She is closely connected to her person and was trained by me for service work. Trigger is a medium-energy, highly biddable dog with a fun personality who enjoys working with people. He has successfully participated in conformation, Rally, and coursing sports.
We hope this pairing will produce intelligent, people-oriented puppies with good trainability and a comfortable balance between working ability and an off switch in the home. Depending on the individual puppy, we may have prospects for family companionship, service or therapy work, performance sports, and conformation.
Haiku stands just under 21 inches at the shoulder. We expect most puppies to mature somewhere around 21–23 inches tall, although there can always be some variability within a litter.
All puppies will keep their natural tails and dewclaws. Puppies will be evaluated individually, and placement will be based primarily on temperament and suitability for each family rather than color or sex.
Health testing is publicly available for both Haiku through OFA and Trigger through OFA.
Families interested in this litter are welcome to contact Shyre Poodles for additional information.
Please fill out our puppy questionnaire if interested in our next litter.
Note: We do not remove dew claws or dock tails and have not since 2010. After much research and discussion with fellow health concerned breeders, we feel this is for the best future health of our pups as both of these body parts are used by canines. Dew claws help stabilize the front leg of your dog, and the tail is used for balance, signaling, etc. See The Standard Poodle for my full explanation why I do not do these things.
